Report: Israel Resumes Contact with Hamas

According to Egyptian media reports, a delegation of IDF officers arrived in Cairo for renewed talks with Hamas following Operation Pillar of Defense, which ended about three month ago. The Egyptian reports do not say the delegation arrived for negotiations with Hamas but this is the assumption being made as the ceasefire agreement ending the IDF military offensive in Gaza spoke of maintaining quiet and seeking to reach an understanding between the sides in the future.
Israeli officials did not comment on the Egyptian media reports.
